Matching Flannel.

So if you know me well, you know I absolutely HATE matching, of any sort. Well, I dressed both Cohen and I in our flannel shirts today, and we actually look kinda cute! I did have a hard time leaving the house that way. But I couldn't help it today!

cohen at 7 months / play date with Troy

My girlfriend Char dropped her little boy Troy off this morning while she went to the temple, and the two little boys had so much fun! They both were so good, and it gave me a little taste of what it's like to have to babes in the house.

Cohen just kept starring at Troy....

...and starring! It took him a little time to get used to him.

They even wanted to share toys. What good boys!

Here is a little 7 month update on my boy:

He's liking veggies better, still LOVES fruit.

He had a little fight with the peas last night.

And this is one of my favorites--getting Cohen out of his crib after he wakes up. I couldn't catch his smile on camera, but he smiles SO big and flaps his arms and legs he gets so excited.

• he's saying more little words in his own little language
• he smiles out of no where, even when he's by himself
• still sleeping through the night
• takes a 2 hour morning nap & about an hour afternoon.
• bananas are his favorite breakfast food, still not too fond on cereal - makes him gag
• loves rides in the car
• sitting up and tips hardly ever
• started getting a little separation anxiety when I leave the room
• loves splashing in the tub
• and he did VERY well this last time we went to St. George. I had NO complaints!
  

I love Cohen more and more each day!

Naomi's Blessing

Cohen and I went to St. George to attend my sweet little niece's blessing. Brock had to stay home for school and work, and we missed him like crazy! Co and I hitched a ride down with Aunt Danna and the girls, and we had a blast!
Thanks again Danna & Girls! We owe you big time.

I love her with all that I am....for she made me and raised me.

I am now sore from playing 'Just Dance' on the wii. I think that was the most fun thing I've done in a very long time.

One night we were up til midnight, and got a LITTLE hyper. Oops! And this is what happened....

My cute little cousins introduced me to FACE DANCING. While taking a picture you move your face as fast as you can, in all different expressions. HILARIOUS!

weight -- 15 lbs (4 %tile)

height -- 25 inch (13 %tile)

head circ. -- 17 inch (51 %tile)

loves his new highchair

• loves to splash is the tubby & chew on rubber ducky
• loves new baby food, juice, & vitamin w/ flouride - bananas are his favorite and he LOVES apple juice
  
• sleeping through the night - WOOHOO!
• not taking Prevacid medicine for reflux anymore
  
• takes short cat naps most the time
• sitting up on his own
• loves to stand up on couch & look out window
  
• doesn't spit up as much, but still does enough
• rolls from his tummy to back
• still hates laying on tummy
• no signs of crawling yet
• loves to play rocket ship with daddy
• has two bottom teeth & working on top two
• very animated about everything
• likes cartoons
• loves to make farting noises with his mouth
• we hardly ever hear him cry - he's learning patience
  

President Gordon B. Hinckley -- a man I love.

I've been reading the words of sweet Pres. Hinckley in his book titled "Standing for Something". What a brilliant man he was. I love his zest for life and great optimism. In his book he talks about ten neglected virtues that will heal our hearts and homes in this crazy world we live in today. If you haven't read this book yet, I highly recommend you do so. What an inspiring man. I wish to be more like him.

It doesn't seem right to be saying it is the year of 2010. I guess every year seems that way. This last year has been very good to us. Our family has been blessed in so many wonderful ways, we feel extremely spoiled. I am grateful for them all, as well as the few, very little, hard times we have had.
I can already see the strength our trials have given us.
Thank you 2009....Bring it on, 2010!
