i am so blessed.
I wish I could express in words how much this boy means to me. What an amazing experience it is to be a mommy, and to have my little bud have so much faith and trust in me everyday. He makes me want to better myself daily. One day when he reads this I want him to know how much he has helped me get through a few very long semesters (i track my life in semesters these days). We are buds, and he makes me smile and keep going through hard times. I love him more than words can say. I'm seeing more and more of Brock is Cohen everyday. What an amazing role-model Cohen has is his life. His daddy. He loves his daddy. I think I may love his daddy a bit more. He gave me Cohen. I'm married to the best man in this world. Week after week we realized how meant to be we are for each other. We lift each other up, and learned from each other constantly. I hope Brock and I can be the parents our Heavenly Father would have us be. At times I get a feeling of inadequacy with the life long calling as a mother. But, that feeling only lasts a moment. I then am filled with comfort, and I know everything will work out just fine. I wouldn't change the place I am in my life for any amount of money. And I truly believe it is only because of a few things in my life: my two amazing boys, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and loving supportive family. What more could a mommy ask for!I AM SO BLESSED.

:: Sun hat on Sunday ::
Cohen is 9 months! He's getting so big and so fun. It's like I have a little friend to play with and to make me laugh all day long. Yesterday we were outside for hours! Cohen was sporting his new sun hat while eating grahams, his favorite snack. He wants to take it off the whole time it's on so I have to keep him distracted, which is easy to do at this age. These pics were so cute and so funny I just couldn't pick a couple, I had to post them all. . . .

:: Happy St. Patrick's Day ::
The weather was like summer in Provo on St. Patty's Day, so we had to take the chance to go for a long walk. Cohen was in Heaven! Laura, Abigail, Cohen and I decided to walk to campus and check out the art museum. Little did we know, the art we were looking for was taken down early so we missed it. Bummer. No biggy.
We still had a blast outside in our green shirts!

:: a day @ the park on Laura's birthday ::
Today was my really good friend Laura's birthday. We picked up Cafe Rio (her choice even though you're thinking it was mine) then we went to the park to catch some rays of sun and enjoy a little piece of heaven, our pork salads. The babes had a BLAST. They were loving the slides, at least sitting on them next to each other. They weren't took sure about going down.
my cute big boy
my cute big boya day in the life of melissa the mommy...
So here it is. . . .this is how most my days go:
first Cohen is messy. . . .
then he's grabbing anything in my hands. . . .
he needs a diaper change, so I givehim something to distract him. . . .
which lasts long enough for me to whipa diaper on his cute little bum. . . .
then he wants to roll and see how many differentmoves he can make before & whlie we get his clothes on. . . .
then FINALLY he is clean, dressed,and ready to make his next mess.
::i love him clean, dirty, messy, busy,
hyper, tired, sad & most when he's happy::

:: co's 1st boo boo ::
Sad! While playing with toys on the floor, Cohen took a nose dive (which happens daily) trying to reach for a toy, but this time his new top tooth cut his little lip. He was a tough boy. I picked him up, gave him a little snuggle, wiped off the blood, and he was good to go. FEW! It wasn't bad at all. He made it through his 1st boo boo that actually shed some blood. His lip puffed up a little, but it didn't seem to bug him at all.
