:: 4th of July festivities ::

We had a great, very BUSY, 4th of July weekend. Running from one party to the next, Cohen was a champ. He loves to party!
Saturday before the big firework show we had some fun with our friends the Dewey's. Played bocce ball and had yummy treats. Cohen also experienced his 1st sparkler. He couldn't take his eyes off it til it burned out.
That evening we walked to our reserved spot on the corner of the stadium to watch the big firework show. We were right under the action....it was great.
He wasn't too sure about the fireworks at first, but ended up loving them. They were very loud and he was a tough boy.
Monday morning while Daddy was doing some work, Co and I went to the Grand Parade on Center street in Provo. We had fun, although Cohen was more interested in his stroller for some reason.
MY DREAM CAR....55 T-Bird, convertable, PLEASE.
Later that day we went to Freedom Days downtown Provo and played. We won prizes for playing jumbo jenga so well.
Monday evening we went to Heath and Shellie's for a swim party and BBQ. So much fun! Cohen loves the water. He was such a good sport for the busy day we had. We ran from one thing to the next.

:: Kitchen Family Cabin ::
We had an absolute blast! A weekend is not enough time up there.
Cohen found the pots and pans right away and loved making so much noise...
He also loved the fire pole that only big kids can slide down from the upstairs to the main floor. (maybe in a few years buddy!)
We climbed the rock slide that's just across the road from the cabin...
The boys built a MASSIVE bonfire (wish I had a pic) at the top of the rock slide where we had a fireside and made s'mores and "flaming star mallows" (which are a secret treat)...
We shot guns...
(what a good looking group of men)...
One of the most fun things at the cabin is THIS....THE ROPE SWING!
I'm pretty sure the pictures explain themselves...
Nana K
Aunt Jenna
Brock
Me getting ready
soon-to-be Uncle Jade
We had some relaxing time inside. Cohen LOVED exploring inside.
Went on a few nature walks...

The LOVE BIRDS
Story time: so we found this pretty meadow where we took the pic above...Papa Todd had this "brilliant" idea that we should cross this little river, hike up this trail up the mountain side, and that would cut our trip back to the cabin in half. BAD IDEA, but probably my best memory of the trip. This river was NOT little. Most of us got our shoes and pants soaked (thanks Jade for saving me) and the mountain side was STRAIGHT up, NO trail, scratchy bushes, and Brock carried Co the whole time. It was HILARIOUS! What a workout, and such a great memory.
Thanks Papa Todd!
A part of the river that wasn't raging...
Up the mountain side...
VICTORY! We all made it to the top alive.
Co was pretty happy to be done with that hike.
We drove to Kamus (15 mins from cabin) to watch Uncle Matt throw in the nation softball throw finals...
He took 1st place! Way to go Matt Dee!!
Sunday morning we got up at the crack of dawn and packed up and left to make it to Scottie's mission homecoming an Springville.
Cohen found these boys that thought he was so funny so Cohen LOVED them.
Socializing at the luncheon. Love you Jenna.

:: Spaghetti Boy ::

This kid is quite amusing.
The other night I gave Cohen spaghetti to eat all by himself and he thought it was hilarious....
He wasn't too sure about it at first,
cause it was kinda tricky to eat...

But once he got the hang of it...
He thought it was HILARIOUS!
Drinking out of Mommy's cup...
Another funny thing.
Silly boy.
