:: MOTHER'S DAY ::

 I am proud to be Cohen's mother.

I do not have too many complaints about my boy.

He makes me want to be a better person daily.

He reminds me of the simple things in life that are truly important.

How blessed I am to have the privilege of being a mother,

especially to a boy who makes all my days good days, 

even if they are hard days.

Cohen {Brock} brought my mom and I one pink rose each before breakfast.

He came skipping to us so excited to give them to us that by the time the roses got to us the stems were bent and breaking.

I loved it even more that way.

Cort and Em and the kids came over for a scrumptious breakfast 

and then came to church with us at my parents ward.

 Can I say that I have the world's best looking SON, NEPHEW and NEICE? 

I think so. Just before church we snapped a few shots.

 I adore these women.

My beautiful mom and sister-in-law.

I look up to them.

I cherish time spent with them.

I want to be just like them.

They are wonderful examples to me and such great mothers. 

I have learned so much from them about parenting and womanhood. 

Thank heavens for womanhood and the blessing of being a mother.

:: a crazy busy MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND ::

What a perfect Mother's Day weekend.

I will say that I was exhausted when it was over, especially after this day, Saturday. It was a VERY HOT day, low 90's temperature wise, and we were outside all day long. {poor Ironman participants} The Ironman race passes my parents neighborhood. So in the morning we walked up to cheer them on and see them bike up a HUGE hill by Entrada Golf Course. They all looked so good! And they had already swam 2 miles and biked about 60 miles I think. The Iron man race consists of a 2 mile swim, a 112 mile bike, and a full marathon 26.2 miles of running. YIKES! Call me stupid, but I think they are NUTS. 

What an amazing accomplishment though.

My guess is one day Brock will do it...

Loni's Baby Shower

 Wow. Who would have thought that me and my best friend/sister LONI would be pregnant together?! Actually I kinda did. We are due about a week apart so we may be delivering the same day. We'll see....Her baby shower was great! So fun to spoil her and get ready for Baby Adyn to come. Can't wait to meet the little guy. Him and my boys will be best buds, I can feel it already.

Matt's Baseball Games

 Brock's little brother had a double header on Sat. and they won both games. Way to go Warriors! He is a little stud. He pitches and is so fun to watch. My little brother-in-law is growing up! I met Brock when Matt was 3. Now he's OLD and liking GIRLS! Weird.

We finished off our day by watching the Ironman race a little more by the finish line. What a neat race! The finish line was packed with people, food and music. The participants are pretty spread out in this race so when one would come close to the finish line the announcer would say their name, where they were from and then say "YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!" Pretty cool. It gave me chills.

 Cohen had more fun this time at Splash Pad I think because he had cousins to play with. It was a VERY hot day so the cold water was perfect. The Ironman participants were by the Pad by the finish line getting their numbers to prepare for the race the next day, which was neat to see.

:: Papa Todd's Birthday Chiesta ::

 Papa Todd turn 49 on Cinco De Mayo and we had a Chinese Fiesta, a Chiesta. Sheryl makes Todd's favorite egg rolls about once a year and it's for his birthday. There is usually a sombrero involved, but it couldn't be found this year. Bummer. Maybe next year for the big 5 0. The meal YUMMY. I couldn't stop eating egg rolls and fried rice.

 Papa's drums had to be played while the grandboys were there.

They LOVE them.

:: haircuts outside ::

 One morning we decided to do Brock and Cohen's haircuts out back on the patio. For those of you that don't know, Cohen LOVES LOVES LOVES getting his hair cut. He asks for one weekly, and every time he sees my hair bag. Silly boy. I guess that's what I get for being a stylist and having him watch me do other people's hair all the time.

Cohen also LOVES my spray bottle. He was having a hay day being only in his diaper and spraying EVERYTHING out back while I cut Daddy's hair.

:: LOS LOBOS Concert @ Tuachan ::

 Brock's dad was given four tickets to the Los Lobos concert at Tuachan, they invited us, and we said YES, WHY NOT. I had NO IDEA who these "old guys" were until I heard them sing "La Bamba". This concert was a HOOT to me. The band was pretty entertaining, mostly towards the end. But the best part was watching the crowd dancing up front and up the aisles. The lead singer was pretty old and very hard to understand. Sheryl and I sang along as if we knew all the words, trying to imitate the lead singer. He sounded something like "Owtee de lowla by outsta oh!". Every now and then we would understand a few words in a sentence.

It was a good night.

Great company, and the atmosphere was incredible.

Tuachan is an outside amphitheater located right outside of Snow Canyon State Park. HIGHLY RECOMMEND going there if you haven't been. I feel like I am home when I am there. Snow Canyon is what I see out my old bathroom window of my parents house, so I love it more than most people might.

We had another fun HOT park day with friends. My friends Meg, Ashlye & Lexie met us at the "fire station" park, located by a fire station close to my parents. It was so fun for the kids to play, although we all voted next time we meet somewhere that we can get wet. Keep the sunshine and heat coming! We love it, just a little warm for the babies to play for too long.

Thanks ladies! We had a blast as always.

It's so great to be social with great friends from high school, and makes it even better that we all have babies so close in age that are all DARLING and such good kids.

:: Gram's Birthday Party ::

We celebrated Grandma Sheryl's birthday {May 1st - May Day}.

Of course it was fun - homemade lasagna and chocolate cake and ice cream. YUM. 

What a woman she is. She works so hard everyday, 

and LOVES her grandkids and would do anything for them.

:: what we've been up to ::

SPLASH PAD at TOWN SQUARE

Kind of a windy day, but it was HOT. We made our way to Town Square for the first time to the Splash Pad that we've been hearing so much about. Fun place! Cohen did enjoy it, but will more when the wind isn't blowing.

He once again loved Gram's bird.

He had to test the cracker before he fed it to the bird.

We played in the dirt and with bubbles.

Em and the kids came to our house {my parents} and we ate lunch on the back patio, enjoyed the sunshine, and played with Potato bugs/Rollie Pollies. Cohen wasn't too interested in the bugs, he took a quick look then ran back to play baseball and swing.

We went to Matt and Meg's for dinner and the babies came. SO FUN to see them all together. They are all darling and such good kids. We missed Loni there and can't wait til her sweet little Aydn is born so he can come play also.

:: BABY BUMP ::

7 months

This last month has been the month of BRAXTON HICKS!

My goodness.

I'm not complaining because in my opinion they are not that bad at all. Just a little uncomfortable at times. I get them every evening around 5:00 p.m. until I go to bed.

Not non-stop, but pretty consistant.

I maybe had a hand full my whole pregnancy with Cohen.

Maybe it has something to do with taking care of a CRAZY 2 year old.

Still feeling good, but I definitely have to rest more often.

Can't wait to meet my second little boy!

I'm getting VERY anxious.

July 22nd seems very far away.

But with that said, I am soaking up every second I can having this time with just me and my big boy Cohen. He is learning so much being around so many family members,

especially from his older cousins.

:: E A S T E R  2 0 1 1 ::

 Easter Sunday was so nice and relaxing.

We were lucky enough to attend Todd's last Sunday as Bishop in the college ward. 
It was a wonderful meeting.

 Cohen was all about finding eggs with candy in them. Brock had to push him a little to keep searching for more eggs though. He just wanted to open each one and eat the candy from it. He LOVED his Easter basket full of a kite, candy, flip flops, new shorts and a new white church shirt.

He got new bubbles from Papa and Nana that he has been missing oh so much. His bubbles broke a LONG time ago and he still would talk about them. We also had an egg hunt at Papa and Nana's with Kai.

He is actually a pretty good drummer after just one lesson. 
This boy has got some rhythm. :)

We played at the park, and Brock and I both got a little sun burned. 
What better way to feel at home in sunny St. George.

This was Cohen's first time actually liking Nana's tramp.

He has been into jumping lately anywhere and everywhere, so he was all about the tramp. Getting some good air!

Easter was oh so great.

We LOVED being with family all weekend.

LOVED the sunshine.

Loved the sugar.
