Family Pictures
Sept 2013
By: Angel Blain
Cohen 4 yrs Brendon 2 yrs

My great friend Angel is a natural. She doesn't call herself a photographer, but now here is proof she should! She hasn't ever taken family pics before and she did such a great job. She was also 9 months prego and happy to do it.
LOVE HER! And I LOVE my family.
I was happy how the pics turned out. Of course I pick myself apart {my hair looks old lady-ish, Brend should have had his normal short hair and he had a double ear infection, etc.}
Even with that said, I love them. :)
THE BOYS
 Brendon Lee:
- Brendon is speaking so so well. Complete sentences, YAY! It seemed to happen over night. So helpful for us all.
- Both of his elbows have had ligaments pop out of place. Not a big deal, after one late night trip to the pediatrician's office we found out we can fix it simply by ourselves. It happened twice in Utah and twice at our house in TX. So sad, he wont move his arm at all until I pop it back which hurts him so bad. :( It's called Nurse Maid's Elbow and is very common in two year olds.
- Making sweet little discoveries like how he can make his hands into a tent and be proud of it. I love this age and stage he's in. Sweet and sour moments, but still snuggles me however long I want. :)
- Still LOVES sports, mostly baseball but likes soccer too. Can hit a ball like crazy! He is very accurate throwing and kicking. Amazes me at his age. Seems to come natural for him.

 Cohen Todd:
- Loves to be with friends, HATES when preschool is over to leave friends.
- Co loves to wink and click his mouth at the same time.
- Loves INSTRUMENTS especially in introductions of songs. He is HOOKED on the song Save the Last Dance for Me by Michael Buble, only the intro over and over again.
- Last month something terrible happened for the first time. Co cut my friend Lindsey Curtis' little girls hair! All her ringlets, OFF! The crazy thing is when I trimmed it after to even it out, it was pretty dang even! Oh man... I haven't felt so bad in a long time. And so did Cohen! The sad part was he had NO idea it was that bad of a thing to do. With his lip quivering he said, "but Mom, I was doing it just like you." I have been waiting for that day to come. BAD BAD BAD day.
- So our best friends the Montgomery's moved back to Utah in August. :( Such a sad thing. We miss them like crazy, and I think Cohen misses Kaylee more than anyone else. She is in his thoughts and prayers EVERY day. Such a sweet little friendship.

September Happenings
little bit of everything going on....
Bowling for the first time... boys loved it!

Student Dr. Brock is rockin' it. He has now done rotations in Internal Medicine, Pediatric Orthopedics, Psychiatry and he is now doing OB/Gyn. All of them at hospitals, acting as the dr. He works his guts out even when he has to get up at 4:00 am and work night shifts. So grateful my partner in crime is a hard worker!

Brend and I are really look forward to our "dates" while Co is at school two days a week. Such precious time. Brend had a hard time Co leaving for the first couple weeks he would just cry and cry when we dropped him off. They have become really close friends lately. Makes this mama very happy.
This child of mine.... I'll give you one guess who did this.
BREND. So different from his brother. He keeps me on my toes at all times to say the least.

Cohen's masterpiece for Kaylee, his sweet little friend that now lives in Utah. So sad! He misses her like crazy.
AMAZING article. Keeps my chin up!
If this boy happens to fall asleep during the day, while watching a show or in the car too late, he has a very hard time going to bed. He will come out of bed up to 10 times. This one night he was being a real stinker and this is him sitting in front of Brock when Brock was getting mad at him, he just smiles.
Another article that I don't want to forget about.
HOPE can get you through anything.
Brend strikes again! This is him scrubbing his art work off the wall. He actually did a good job! For a pretty big picture that little mark was all that was left when he was done scrubbing.

We're all still alive, including me the crazy mama of the house.
Soccer & Preschool yr 2

Following in his mama's footsteps, I LOVE watching him play.
He's not nearly as aggressive as I expected him to be. He plays very different at home than on the field. He does good though. Starting to get the hang of all the craziness. Mostly the 5 players that are on the field just run after the ball in a clump. So cute! One of Co's friend's Dad, Josh Koonce, is coaching. He's so great. So patient and not too extreme. Perfect for 3 and 4 year olds. Co's best buddy Nixon is on the team and they get SUPER distracted by each other. If they are playing by each other a lot of times we find them wrestling or hugging or just laughing. Hilarious.

Little brothers Brend and Watson cheering on the sidelines. Brend wants to be playing WAY more than Co. He begs to go out there but he's a sweetie to stay off the field and play with a ball on his own or with us.

 Parents tunnel after every game!
First soccer practice. Brock was even able to come help out which was awesome. These little kids hustle and do great even in the heat. Practice is MAYBE thirty mins long, and that's plenty. Attention span is an issue.

Preschool year 2
We are doing the group of mom's teaching again this year, and now that all the kids are 4 we are using a curriculum and we quite a bit more structure than mostly playing time. Trying to get these kiddos ready for Kindergarten next year! CRAZY.

A few masterpieces from his first day back.
Hopefully I'll be good about taking more pictures of his work, by his request. :)
P.S. Check out all that food splattered on the wall next to our kitchen table......GROSS! Can not keep up.
