Christmas in Texas

This was our family's first Christmas in Texas but also away from family, on our own. It was definitely different. Very low key, stress-free and 'quiet'. We were all missing family and feeling homesick, but it was fun to be at our home, having gifts here.

Some friends from our ward, The Smith's, came over for Family Home Evening the Monday before Christmas and we had a great little lesson and activity. Acting the nativity together was perfect.. I was wondering how acting it out with just our little family was going to work out. ;)

Cohen and his friend Macy are too cute. And Harvey made the perfect baby Jesus. I will admit, having a newborn around this time of year is special.

On Christmas Eve we were invited to Andy and Beka Philipp's party they hosted. It was at our church and they transformed that room! It was awesome. Couldn't quite get a good picture..

These buddies make me happy.. they have always been such good little friends. Such handsome boys. They did not leave each others sight the whole night.
Santa came! The parents brought pre-wrapped gifts that were all Christmas jammies. The kids were thrilled!

Also, Christmas Eve we facetimed with Kitchen's to open Elf gifts.

Oh these boys of mine were worth every pennny and stress! They were so ecstatic! Little ones make holidays much happier.

The boys made me books that they wrote and drove pictures. Loved them! Also, Brock completely surprised me with a new laptop! I couldn't believe it. And like usual, I got him Gap jeans and a football. He always breaks the rules. ;)

Our day was slow and relaxing, it was wonderful.
We went to the Wang's for a late lunch, that was fun to be with "family" on the holiday.
Something I love about the holidays is the Christmas cards! I leave them up for months after because I love looking at them so much.
 The holidays were great.
Christmas is always so wonderful, making memories and reflecting more than normal on our Savior Jesus Christ.
