Me & Him

He took me out on a well-needed-long-over-due date.
Between sickness and crazy school schedule we haven't had the chance to get away in awhile. I was giddy when I woke up that morning, and was anxious to get ready, style my hair and put on a little extra make up for my hot date.
We went to Casa Rita's for Mexican, then browsed Home Depot to window shop and pretend we had a $5,000 dollar shopping spree we had to spend all in one night. We could totally do it! Then we went to Keva for some MOUTH WATERING GELATO. Oh baby, if you're in this town, you need to stop by Keva for Gelato. I'm a sea salt caramel kinda girl, but I actually tested two new ones and I went for the caramel cookie crunch. Delicious! Brock got Peanut butter something and we shared. We were the only ones in the shop and we sure acted like it. Made ourselves at home on the sofa, put our feet up, and we laughed. I had tears strolling down my face at some point. I could sit and do/say nothing with Brock and be the happiest girl. He's my best friend.
After we got home and the boys were in bed, we popped open our bottle of sparkling cider from Valentine's Day {we had the flu, so we saved it for another day} We watched an episode of our favorite show, White Collar. We save our bubbly bottles just like Neil and Kate do off the show.

Perfect Date. Alone time with HIM. Happy girl.

So I'm starting something new...
An on-going list of the many little quirks of Brock and I.
So far I've come up with:

Brock & Lis
She feels claustrophobic when her shirts are too high up her neck. He rubs his feet together when laying in bed trying to sleep. She checks the door locks and her kids twice before bed. She is scared of the dark. He is scared of spiders. He likes slimy eggs, she likes hers burnt. She chews on her nails when she's nervous. He talks to himself sometimes and she loves it. He puts his pencil behind his ear when he's waiting to use it. She can't go to sleep without him next to her. He puckers his lips when he's trying not to smile.

And the list will keep growing and growing.
