Valentine's 2013
Traditional TRAIL to find their goodies.
They each got some flip flops and yummy
treats and chalk and play dough.
Cohen couldn't shovel the candy in fast enough. This is one of the two days of the year that he can eat sweets before breakfast. ;) We had berry kix by request, and I threw some pink milk in there for fun. The boys and Brock got me CHOCOLATES {the best way to my heart} Itunes gift card and a sun hat.
Brend still had the flu, but was on the mend. Just so weak and no appetite, poor boy! Cherrios and Gatorade was about all he ate that day.
Cohen had his first Valentine's Day party at Preschool. He had a blast exchanging Valentine's and frosting cookies.
While Co was gone, Brend and I had some good snuggle time, and we got the new play dough out.
Brendon played with it for quite a while and I think he liked having some quiet alone time with Mom. :)
I surprised Brock with this bedding for us and his gift was a new desk chair, our favorite chair broke after 5 years and we loved it so much I got the same one from IKEA.
Then we built this fort so we could watch a movie in it.
Literally, 30 seconds after I snapped this pic......
Cohen threw up ALL over the living room.
I was just waiting for him to catch the flu bug from Brend!
Poor boys. They are so patient when they are sick.
I had one of the boys favorite meals planned {muffins, hashbrowns, bacon} but sweet Co couldn't even eat any. Brend picked at it which was progress for him.
Later that night I started feeling the FLU BUG coming on. BLAH!
So Brock and I didn't even drink our bubbly. We went to bed early. The next day was NOT GOOD. I woke up sick and DEFINITELY had the flu. Poor boys were so patient with me just laying around. It was sorta a blessing that they both were still not feeling the greatest, so we were all lethargic together.
My sweet friend found out we were not feeling good and within the hour she dropped of this basket of movies to borrow, soup and cider and juice and granola bars.
We are grateful for good, loving, caring friends.
We are taken care of here in Texas.
I'm sick of sickness.
I hate seeing my boys sick and I hate when I'm not 100% myself to give them the love and care I need to.
As I type this, Brock is on the couch having his turn with the flu. On a positive note, at least we all are getting it over with at once.
Spring, come soon!
Let's hope you don't bring more sickness with you.
Thank You.
Happy Valentine's Day/weekend!
