Days 3 & 4 - SEA WORLD
WE LOVE SEA WORLD.
And we can't wait to go back.
It is fun for all ages and there is plenty to do.
We had to make two days of it, and we probably could have gone a third day. The first day we had cloud coverage the WHOLE day we were there. It was as if the heavens knew we needed it. ;)
First, we fed the dolphins.
I've never touched a dolphin or even been that close to one before. They were very friendly and very hungry.
Bay of Play is an area of Sesame Street for the kiddos. We rode a couple rides, watched a 4D Elmo movie, ate lunch and played on a playground to give the kids another chance to get out of the stroller and shake their cute little buns.
Alligators stink and aren't too exciting to me. But Brock and I both found this random guy way more humorous or entertaining than the animal. Out of ALL the hundreds of places at Sea World to nap, he chose this wall and pile of rock. HA!
Ski Show was awesome. Cohen wasn't impressed, but Brock and I enjoyed it. There was some massive jumps and pyramids and barefooting.
Brock and I took turns going on a few rides...
The pic to the left, you can see my legs on the front row, second one over. And the right pic, Brock's on that crazy big coaster.
Shamu Show called One World
This was my favorite show at the park.
It's amazing to me that something that large can jump and flip so high and can hop right up on the stages.
Very smart animals.
Our first day at the park, we didn't bring our swimming suits, but that humidity got the best of us and we HAD to get wet in something other than our sweat.
This net area above makes me think of one thing.... Cohen getting lost. Yes, I lost a child for the first time! It was only for about 10 minutes, but it did happen. He was being so brave and started at one end and was going to crawl and climb to the other side and meet Brock. Simple enough, right? WRONG. Somehow Cohen snuck out between Brock and I and either kept playing, or tried to look for us. After the LONGEST 10 minutes of my life so far, Brock and I both saw him at the exact same time with a security guard. Cohen had found a lady to help him find us and she went and got the security guard. AH! Bless that lady for helping. I even had older kids running through the play place screaming Cohen's name. When we walked up to Co he was still smiling, of course not scared AT ALL, and said "Hey were you guys looking for me?" Now whoever he talks to about Sea World he HAS to bring up that he got lost.
This is another great show, Brock's favorite, that had a whale names Azul {bottom left pic} that would push acrobats around on his nose. There were dolphins and birds and acrobats that did WAY sweet tricks. My favorite was the bottom right pic....they would rock back and forth on that swing then jump SUPER high and do dives and flips.
Famliy Merry Go Round ride - Stinky sea lions {not worth seeing} Elmo concert at the end of day one, and as you can see from the pic of the boys we were EXTRA hot and EXTRA tired. But the shady seat was nice for a bit.
That evening after we rested at the hotel for a bit to cool off, we headed to the Riverwalk. There was a walkway to it right from our hotel door. Again, it was so so humid but enjoyable. The boys were so patient and good being drug around everywhere, even in the hot weather.

Sea World - Day 2
This picture makes me laugh A LOT.
This is Brendon's first ride EVER. He didn't know what to think, and he was WAY too scared to smile or laugh. Haha, better luck next time? But Cohen loved it and rode it 3 times.
{just for journaling purposes - check out my curly new hairs growing in by my bangs. Not cute! All the hair I lost from post pregnancy number 2 has now grown in curly. It makes living in a humid climate EXTRA fun}
Splash pad time! We came prepared with our suits this time.
Running through cold water never felt so good!
And last, we just HAD to get our picture with the one and only ELMO. Brendon couldn't stop touching him, and Cohen thought Grover was hilarious.
We can't wait to go back!!
One thing to remember....we were so lucky and got free parking BOTH days we went. Their scanning machines were acting up randomly, and I'm sure it didn't help that Brock's card magnetic strip is way worn down.
But we scored!
That evening after resting a bit, we went down to the Riverwalk again to play and eat dinner. We ate RIGHT on the river at a very yummy mexican place called Rita's. Brendon fell asleep in the stroller and slept through dinner, heavenly. Such a neat atmosphere to be eating out with your family. And I will add, we had the perfect place to "people watch" as we chit-chatted and ate. I am WAY too interesting in watching people. There's just so many different kinds. I love it.
We ended our day with a boat ride down the river {bottom right picture} It was at about 9:30 pm so the boys were BEYOND tired. Which made it quite relaxing and easy for Brock and I. The pictures I took of the boat ride at night didn't work out, but I can't explain how gorgeous it was. I recommend a boat ride down the San Antonio river on the Riverwalk AT NIGHT. :)
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL DAY.
