We have been on plenty trips to visit family and trips with family, but never a vacation with just us four.
Our trip was to San Antonio, but first we made a pit stop in Austin.
Seeing the Capitol Building was awesome. I enjoyed it A LOT. The grounds and surrounding memorials were beautiful, and the boys loved running around to let some bottled up energy out. Austin is about 3 hours from our house, and that was the longest drive we have taken since Brendon was born. The boys did great, slept most the drive.
At the top of our "Austin stop" list was eating at a cozy indoor/outdoor dining joint called Shady Grove. Very relxed, very good food, very layed back/island-ish atmosphere.

Austin impressed us, and we were only there for a few hours.
Prettiest town that we've seen in TX so far.
We will be back!
