1st Day: August 25, 2014
Basswood Elementary
Ms. Pittman
Full-day Kindergarten
He has been counting down the days for a month!
He could not get to school fast enough. I will admit, I was just as excited for him. He is SO ready for school, was not nervous about a thing. He couldn't stop smiling since the moment he popped right out of bed.
There was playdoh ready for him at his desk which he was thrilled about, that they got to play with until school started.
Ms. Pittman already seems like the perfect fit!
I think we scored and got the best kindergarten teacher there.
After school...
So excited for all the fun adventures Cohen will have this year, and all the fun and new things he'll learn.
A quick story about last night...
After dinner and bath and jammies, we sat down for Brock to give Cohen a Father's blessing (tradition every year before school starts). Cohen was giddy about it, while Brock was changing into church clothes to give the blessing, Cohen said "Mom, do you what I'm most excited about starting school? Getting this Father's Blessing". He thought is was miraculous! I had to peek at him most the blessing, he was smiling SO big with closed eyes. After the blessing he thanked Brock for such a great blessing. He said he really liked the part about how he knows how to be kind and reverent and will be a great example to his classmates. Made my heart happy how excited he was about the blessing and how much he listened and remembered from it. Brendon didn't want to feel left out, so he received a blessing as well, for some extra help missing Cohen while he's gone most the day.
Eternally grateful for a wonderful husband who holds the priesthood, who is willing at any moment to give blessing to our family. What a great example to our boys he is.
HAPPY SCHOOL YEAR!
I have nothing but good feelings about this year.
